The Art of Photography

Updated: Dec 13, 2020

Photography has taken the world by surprise by giving us the ability of capturing moments that are spontaneous and irreplaceable. Not only is it one of the most appraised forms of art, but it is constantly adapting to today's reality.

I have been traveling the world for over 15 years while keeping a healthy daily life at the same time, visiting different countries capturing the people and cultures around the globe. I have worked on many styles of photography over the years, but I would have to say that street and travel photography is what defines me. I also enjoy photographing weddings, as it brings many beautiful moments wrapped up together. Being an artist has awaken in me a more sensitive approach towards life. As a professor It brings me great joy watching my students and individuals learn from my experiences, and seeing them have the same passion for photography as I do, puts a smile on my face.

“To have the ability to capture an emotion, a time in history, an achievement and other aspects of our lifetime and being able to look at a picture and be taken back to that moment is priceless, and that is powerful.”

Being published, meeting amazing individuals and traveling the world is just some of the amazing things photography has given to me. It is a big part of me.

What inspires me to keep creating?

When it comes to creativity there are certain things that take a big part the process. I can say that music and movies are an essential part of it. Traveling is also a fundamental pathway towards my artwork. The more I see the more I can channel my thoughts, ideas and concepts. Just imagine, to have the ability to capture an emotion, a time in history, an achievement and other aspects of our lifetime and being able to look at a picture and be taken back to that moment is priceless, and that is powerful. I also admire the style and form of great photographers in history like Vivian Maier, which for years her work has been very inspiring.

Photography is definitely more than art to me, it is a lifestyle. I have dedicated years to educating myself and searching for more inspiration so that one day I may look back at know that I have accomplished great things with one of things I love most.
